A good sunscreen routine is mandatory before doing any procedure, whether it derma facials, lasers or chemical peels.

Sunscreen and moisturisers are mandatory. Avoid night cream for 4-5 nights

We generally prescribe a skin care routine for our patients to prime (prepare) their skin for better outcomes and treat the existing skin conditions. Various types of skin care routines are described in detail in another video on our you tube channel. For procedures, the most important step is Sunscreen application three times a day ie Morning, afternoon and evening at around 4 pm, irrespective of whether you are indoors or outdoors. The amount of sunscreen to be applied is 2 finger tip units. Sunscreen should only be applied and not rubbed into the skin. Some of my trusted sunscreen brands are Acne UV gel for acne prone skin, MG Cal sunscreen, UV doux gel, UV care mat , suncros soft gel sunscreen for a mat, non oily look. BMJ pure, suncros soft lotion for mature skin.

The same needs to be maintained after the treatment and for life. We advice a special healing moisturiser, to be applied after treatment for 7 days for soothing effect, protection and faster recovery to reduce the possibility of any side effects. The night cream needs to be discontinued for 5 nights. Drink sufficient water for a healthy skin.
